Looking Through the Skylight – Wednesday 6th November 1996

Looking Through the Skylight

i sought her
like passion that sought me
i gave you all i have got
to take away the time
that i waste
that i wish i could change
skylights let in the light
i am sure they do
when i looked at the skylight
i realised i was looking at you
sitting there, smiling bright

i sought her
and found her where –
i least expected to find her
in my attic room
my fantasies came into bloom
she was mean in her dreams
and pretty in her scenes
i sought her
and found so much
but the price you pay to care
can cost a lot
now as i linger
i hope something can be reclaimed
