Losing Mum – Written Tuesday 27th December 2011 (Aged 36)

Losing Mum

i think about them
not being here
that act,
that moment
that phone call
the one –
that no longer happens
that pop in visit
that half listened conversation
suddenly,
no more
and so far –
i cry in moments –
that others do not see
grief holds me, contracts around me
so personally –
others seem to be in a place –
that borders onto hope
and is dotted with expectation
i prepare differently –
i know the final impact of this situation
