It Goes On

i go on
there is no time to stop and think
the destruction –
of your old life is all too swift
but as the new one swells up
there are opportunities not to be missed
you have to go on
what other option is there?
life does not wait around
people ask how you do it
well, what else is there to do?
i know that the road
continues to stretch on and on
with many twists and turns
and I know if I stop and think
it might just become all too much
i go on
