Sarcasm Crept In

sarcasm crept in
put the kettle on
and it has never really gone
perhaps it has stayed too long
when I was born
did they imagine -
that this is the path
that I would tread
laughter crept in
found the glasses
and we started on the gin
i made passes
at the sweetest women
love crept in
nut then it snuck out
when I was nine
and its departure
was evident by the weeds in my mind
but I was saved
when I was engraved
and eventually remade
