Absolutely Wrecked

Absolutely Wrecked

they have been medicating
their anxiety
for sometime
it is the flow of alcohol
red or white wine
and anything else
is always fine
it deals with emotions
from the open heart
the anxiety becomes a mask
that never really covers the face
there are lines and blotches
for the mask to trace

how did this happen?
that these moden lives
leave us mentally bereft?
self medicating,
and absolutely wrecked?
