frustration –
it is a recurring scene
played out in my life, many times
i am the actor,
who cannot remember their lines
i am the talent
that let everyone down
i am the inner bypass
in a victorian town
i have never lived up to, my billing
i am the cake
with an average filling
the same questions
always get asked
i sit in my mastermind chair
seemingly saying, i pass
i have never been that
round peg in a round hole
i am the square peg
in a place of hopeful dreams
i am never quite the expected feelings
i am the disjointed dream
the constant frustration
it is a recurring theme
