That is Not What it Means…

but… that is not what it means
okay but it is published (not posted)
and then, we move on to the next scene

a man interviewed on a box…
it must be the anger of a man too short
it was baseball players having a ‘joke’
but the punchline was never caught

facts do not matter
in the political slog where the truth
is fried and battered

a woman arrested amongst men
becomes a political point
why her in that place?
what about the men,
why have they not arrested them yet?

no matter,
the social commentators have cast their net
a local paper
tells a story, not quite true
but it spins
to suit a particular view

a remark about a local service
is accurately explained
i comment but it moves on

and it is never quite the same
we are all being manipulated
exploited in some way
that is how it works
and it feels uncomfortable in every way
