A Pile of Alcohol
people collapse
into a pile of alcohol
and wine and gin –
bakes the skin
and then the mind
shares itself –
onto a social media account
that is it,
‘wine-o-clock’
but…
when does that clock actually stop
the acceptable addiction
the celebrated affliction
let alcohol –
rub salt into wounds
everyone unscrews the cap
or pops the cork
tell the world
that you need the support
everyone is unmade
by such an alcoholic crush
