I Am a Shy Person 

i am a shy person
dancing clumsily in the spotlight
i am a frightened person
searching for the next high
i am an outwards bound individual
trying to stay inside
i am the pickled and the picked
running through the forest
trying to give people the slip
i am the unwelcome comedian 
just trying to laugh it off
i am the village idiot
stuck in a set of genius stocks
i am a shy person
that screams for their privacy 
but shares it with the world
i am a master of reality 
trying not to court the cold
and romance the insanity –
i am the ill shaped and well loved
tied to a stuttering bed
i am cursed with strange vision 
and boundless dreams in my head
