Moonshadow

Moonshadow

left across the meadow
with shadows on my sundials
moonshadow
casting a crescent of light
in the world i want
across a magical meadow
with no companions,
things looked different
followed by moonshadow
then i was followed
by the footsteps
of a gutted foe
we had an evil giant
in the midnight glow
as a i trekked across the meadow
i was followed by this gutted foe
plus moonshadow
which saved my soul
although it did not keep out the cold
it showed me a place to go
i ran fast, hid high
lost my foe in the hills
the perspective of a mountain range
beneath the ridges i stooped low
leaving behind the lush greeness
of the magical meadow
to the rockiness of a mountain range
aided by moonshadow
which helped me, but not my fee
