Patterns in the Mainstream
patterns in the mainstream
conventional people with tattoos
squalid upbringing in suburbia
the only imperfections
are that the oak tress that line the road
are not always straight
slumming it like a down and out
changing name from mundane
to wild and untamed
patterns in the mainstream
people who try so hard
they try too hard and all look the same
versions of a cardboard cutout joke
silly and childlike when they smoke
they never really drag
the only drag is their pretend rebellion
that is no more clever
than the upbringing they had
patterns in the mainstream
of one colour on a mono canvas
their thought boards no train
only the bland and the tame
