Finding Familiarity
glad to hear your voice
though not sure why
glad to hear your silence
glad to hear your cry
and if that seems an odd thing to say
below the silence i heard you breathing
and i am glad i heard that today
not sure exactly what to talk about
not so hard to get back into the routine
what is still there is unseen
like any bout of affection
or any dose of feelings
glad to hear your voice
the words and your choice
felt good to talk again
glad to hear your nouns
though i could not actually see you
or your strange little frowns
