respect for your age
the time spent here
putting up with everything that is
so some suggest
one year older
is one more closer to your death

respect for your age
life experience mounting up
or not, as the case may be
doing what you can for the aged
talking to the, oh so jaded
come over and talk to me

respect for your age
that is all i really ask
of course you do not get it
do any of us really give it?
here i am at twenty three
still trying to earn my respect
for what i am really
what would you expect
respect for your age
that is something to forget
