Moving On

when i finally say goodbye
to this fighters’ town
i will leave with tears in my eyes
reality does but memories do not die
but the tears will come
for all that has happened
since i was young
when i finally leave
it will be like running away
it will be like giving up
all i have to say is after all these years
i have had too much
and yes, there will be tears
but only for the people i leave behind
but i have to go
i have to try something else
i cannot stay here going nowhere
struggling for nothing
wasting away just to survive
when i finally say goodbye
it will be hello to another life
with tears in my eyes
and a future full of surprise
