Far From Being Over

I was just waiting
anticipating the chance that never came
I was looking outward
from the bottom of my brain
I was just cooking
looking for a chance probably already taken
the strangeness of my sky
filled my eyes
more than tears ever could
I was just waiting
like I guess anybody would
for a chance I hoped would come
but far from things being over
I believed they had only just begun
