I Will Lie Down Here For You

i will lie down here for you
my friend
and you can teach me
to live again
i know in my life
how much people
have shaped and sometimes
saved me
from a fate
worse than unkempt mistakes

i will lie down here for you
and you will tell me
how beautiful we all are
and we will learn to live again
travelling this fair land
from the blunt flatlands
to the rolling hills
and you need to teach me
how all this really feels
i will lie down here for you
