Reality Is

the reality is you know i am
a gentle and caring soul
that is why you behaved
like you did
because you knew you could
get away with it
because you know my first
reaction would be one of sympathy
even empathy, not hostility
that is the reality
for all your posturing
for all your false bravado
you know deep inside a harder
person would have slapped
you down
