No Love to Pour

i am surprised
by such outrage
you thought nothing
of discussing my childhood
with complete strangers
even though
you were not there
and my family,
you labelled as, ‘do not care’
but again,
you were not there
and you blamed and assigned,
made up stories
verse and rhyme
you said i was unloved
unwanted and expelled
from above,
you judged me
on every day since i was born
you had no love to pour
only hot scolding scorn
but you were not there
so your outrage surprises me
your tantrums and shouting
and a demand for privacy
because amongst all the cons
it is the one thing you never gave me
