Masculine

take the woman
to prove a point
a point of masculinity
you wanted to prove
that you could ‘still have her’
yet you lose,
because you show,
how little you have to share
and she gets bruised
it highlights how little you care
not just for her,
but for me also
i cannot change the way she feels
but if you noticed,
i was leaving for another field
you cannot graze
when the harvest will not yield
take the woman
to prove your point
the spine of your life
is starting to creak at the joints
i hope you know, i laughed
but i know also the hurt i feel
i did not tell you
but i am sure you know it is real
