It It a Truth?

all we want
is the attention
the screw
and the thread
let’s count
the moments of dread
to many see –
the acceptance –
of others
and reject themselves
too many people
attached to attention
like a drip
finding situations
trying to make it fit
is it real
or even a truth?
perhaps i think –
far too hard
but i know many –
simply follow cue cards!
