Suddenly This World Feels So Small

suddenly,
this world feels so small
there is a chill
on earthquake views
and waves,
which we all feel
the weather looks bleak
what has happened,
to cause such restless feet
they fight for peace
our democratic vote
and here we are told
we are all in the same boat
but we are not,
it is still them and us
class reproduction
and a lack of trust
suddenly,
the world feels very small
if only we could reach out
and collect those tears
