Love Has the Heaviest Sound

we fall in love
with romance
we compare it to –
the petals on a flower
when it is –
the leaves on a tree
a child you raise –
that eventually leaves
we fall in love
and dream
of this state
where we have –
assured fate
but the petals
on the flowers
sometimes fall –
to the ground
and know how love
has the heaviest sound
do you want –
to be the key –
to a door
that may be opened –
once more?
