Rode the Train
rode the train
all the way to journey’s end
on a carriage occupied by a distant friend
rode the train
from town to town
every place, speeding by
as i attempt to get some shut eye
rode the train
in faded colours of joy
cynical market forces
forging a ploy
rode the train
with the driver and the crew
everyday, journey is the same
rode the wagons
as i rode the train
