Leaving on the Next Train – Written Wednesday March 5th 1997 (Aged 22)

Leaving on the Next Train

leaving on the next train
i am sunken in my frame
my eyes are dark and tired
all i wanted is missing
and i am not so sure anymore
not that i think i ever was
but when the present is tiring
you can turn easily to the past
leaving on the next train
i am riding out of here
and taking my belongings
i do not care about the situation
leaving on the next train
do not care about the destination
i feel let down, strung out and hurt
the only solitude i have
is that it cannot get any worse
i lost your hand
and found nothing else
i really do not comprehend
leaving on the next train
wounds to mend
