Creative Juggernauts

my cleverness,
has always rubbed people up –
the wrong way
it has struggled to find a home
acknowledged –
but somehow left me alone
misdiagnosed as arrogance
or sarcasm –
or even petulance
my cleverness,
and being, ‘bright’
has never worked out
nowhere seems to fit
no home to be found
creative juggernauts
run people down
my cleverness,
has always rubbed people up –
the wrong way
