A Certain Amount of Insanity
a certain amount of insanity
always seems –
to bubble around me
uncertainty,
amusement and crazy –
human behaviour
give it a hug –
my long lost floats
and give it a tug
my feet need to be steady –
on this rug
a certain amount of music
seems to play in this life
jokes and fruit
and just about enough rope
my memories sometimes edited
but never wiped
give me a hug –
a cuddle in the shelter
something from the touch
