Hopelessly Devoted – Written Saturday 28th June 2008 (Aged 33)

Hopelessly Devoted

they have watched me
become hopelessly devoted
and become quite erratic
but they do not set me at ease
they leave me with stings
and down on my knees
begging like a dog,
and saying, yes please
back for more and more
i cannot say no,
and then i get all upset
ending up, needlessly wrecked
with little self respect
they watched me,
become hopelessly devoted
