You Have Exhausted Me
i did not replace you
but i got tired of the crying
tired of the trying
tired of the hurting
even tired of loving you
i love you so much
more than you perhaps know
and i saw it in you
but you could not let it out
i gave you everything
even more than i had
how can i go on
feeling so lost and sad
how long do i starve myself –
of happiness and a way forward
how long do it sit here –
and the sadness i gleefully horde
i did not replace you
i just got tried of crying
tired of the trying
tired of always hurting
hanging on and hoping
tired of drawing in my feelings
living dreams and always loaning
you have exhausted me…

Thank you – that is a joy in relating, when people relate to something – connection is important 🙂
