Battlelines – Written September 2014 (Aged 39)

Battlelines

let me summarise
i have ideas
i gleam from the mines
i pay my tax
and i am never behind
except,
maybe those battlelines
let me tell you a story –
in this remote place
or is that places,
where people swim
and become more lost faces
and just to begin
you have to pack to many cases
whilst people like you
attack our laces
so i shall not be taking this
and as if it really matters
i pay for each individual step
and you saw me knocking on the door
you have rent we need to collect
