Likability – Written Friday 29th july 2016 (Aged 41)

Likeability

likability is what matters,
what counts,
ability, well…
that underscores a winning smile
i learned that at school,
at home,
as a child,
to be liked –
is your passport to life
play the game, avoid the weathervane
then, self loathing –
will feel less like unbearable pain
if you cannot be liked
then the boxing ring will contain the dreams
for which you always have to fight
true, only i can change
but it never works out like that
likability is what matters
