Rumbled
today i tumbled out of bed
into the cold cold day
the grey sky biting my bones
the eyes do not quite work
i fell through a dream and came to
today i started out thinking
in the cold cold day
you haunt me, yet never daunt me
today i stumbled to work
and fumbled for my brains
they felt tired and slow
i was rumbled by my feelings
they would let me go
today was cold and old
and guess what, you were far away
the life i lead to the hands i hold
today i came home
to a bedroom and bathroom
that does not contain you
to a world i adore
but one that needs your special touch
