Letting Me Down
you keep on letting me down
why do i stick around
i must need my head examined
and it is all so much pain
worse than i could have imagined
you keep on kicking me
even when i am down
i must be blind, why can i not see
and when you are bored
you decide that you need me
i am always chasing
you keep on letting me down
you keep on hurting me
i am on the floor,
clinging to the telephone
there is nothing on the other end
i am all alone,
you will not even treat me like a friend
anything there has already gone
but i know when you are bored
you will call me up,
and tell me that you love me again
if that is true,
why do things never stay the same
i am not such a clown
stop hurting me, stop letting me down
