Remember the Innocence

remember the innocence
the best thing we had
i did not want to grow up –
the first time
and i am not so sure –
i want to do it again
i am still living within the pain
but that is fine,
we all carry some
growing up is hard
why do we scar the young
why do we bully the child
is it jealously?
why don’t we,
ever truly set ourselves free?
