Those Reductionist Quotes

your, ‘snappy’, quote
the one,
somebody else wrote
you know, it is not quite right
if i look at it,
it is something quite simplified
and quite reductionist
but!
hold on!
it fits quite nicely with what you believe
the truth of course
is actually a much harder weave
your, ‘snappy’ quote
where, ‘life’,
is summed up in a few meagre lines
well,
it seems to present, ‘a truth’,
but if so, then the truth must be blind
i examined the facts
and there was no truth, not that i could find
there is manipulation afoot
just to change the way we think
an alternative view
a chance to create a common narrative
that when applied, presents something new
but i have this feeling,
it is designed to fool me and you
