Can I Lean on your Doorbell?
i saw you there
can i lean on your doorbell?
take the chance
the one you talked of
can i tell you about me
the rivers and the ravines
the hopes and the fears
the lives and the dreams
i saw you there
put out a welcome mat
but if i leave
can i come back
can i lean on your doorbell?
i could tell you
i am doing very well
even if some days are sad
i know we all travel
and some of us feel mad
let me take the chance
the one you talked of
because what we build
could well be enough
