Back to the Ground
the end of the world
was skyscraper blue
mirrored reflections
were just glitter balls
in the ballroom of life
a fayre set by fools
of a banquet full of meat
and barely audible rules
the end of the story
was a suburban mews
the end of the world
was sadly true
they were busy arguing
to notice the new
or that real models
never came with glue
mirrored reflections
step back with every puddle found
as nature swoops in
and in such a daze
everything goes back to the ground
everything goes back to the ground
