You Have Really Sucked That Lemon

i looked today and i sighed
i felt nothing
just an emptiness inside
cannot patronise you
or pretend i care
just wonder
what went on there
and they said that you –
were filled with anger and rage
obviously, since i had seen –
your despair locked in a cage
still you denied it
cannot even be honest with yourself
that terrible self loathing
i looked today
and saw some venom
and thought, boy, bitter or sour
you have really sucked that lemon
