Like the Food I Eat
i need some people
like the air i breathe
and i do not need god
only my friends to believe
it can get so hard
but remember,
we all feel the same
we all need to rest our feet
your feelings of insecurity
are from being unique
as are your fears,
in fact,
i would say most of us
have been living them for years
do not think –
that anyone really hides the pain
they just carry on in life
and carry on playing the game
a lot of people do not sleep at night
and in their dreams,
they get called by a different name
i need some people
like the food i eat
sometimes my head is weary
as well as my feet
but i will keep on surviving
i will not let things keep me down
