Here Today
i am here today and i want to know –
what have you got to say to me
i am waiting here,
as scared as anything
i cannot believe the disrespect you showed
surely i must have meant something
because it hurts to accept
that i could not mean anything
it make me look worthless
it makes it feel like there is no point
no point in being here at all –
if people treat you like a fool
i am here going quietly out of my mind
and the reasons are all i am trying to find
but i am here if you want to talk
and if you want to tell me –
what it was all about
the problem is i don’t really want to talk
in reality i just want to shout
i want to know if i am at fault
i know you do not owe me much
but could you show me some decency
have i not hurt enough?
i am here today, like, you really care
