The Silent Hush – Written Wednesday 16th January 2013 (Aged 37)

The Silent Hush

abuse happens in plain sight
decisions made,
inappropriate behaviour
questionable decisions
and yet,
we stand by
becoming part of the problem
but how do we intervene
it is the thread of life
the un-caught scream
the trickling stream
how can we do enough
knowing,
the stream will turn into a flood
probability is not enough
maybe it falls short
but nonetheless we stand by
wiping salt from our eyes
doing not a thing,
and i wonder, is that enough
do we just become part of the problem
part of the silent hush
