Perceptions – Written Sunday 5th December 2010 (Aged 35)

Perceptions

maybe you did not think enough of me
to be honest and do tell me –
i suspect the truth is –
you do not think enough of yourself
and that is why you crave –
what you perceive to be better
and what others have
maybe you are where you are
because your attitude stinks
you have always dropped out
and it is time you started to think
when she goes silent
or when she starts to drink
maybe you will look elsewhere
maybe further still
you should start to care
and appreciate those –
who through the rain got you here
maybe next time –
when you sliver in the grass
you could find the courage
speak to me, you do not have to ask
you will see how self destruction
tumble, fumbles and continues so fast
