suddenly,
here we are
pages in the book turned
have we come far?
i am like you –
my mental health –
is my true worth
it’s exactly how i feel
it’s just capitalism –
means it does not pay my bills
i am lost,
to the place i never saw
and yet suddenly,
the past is no more
