I Can’t Explain This Anger

i can’t explain this anger
i just can’t…
i feel like –
i have been dragged to the courthouse
and condemned to hang
my defence has never been that weak
but my category had already been decided
and i had no chance to speak
this injustice,
this absolute unfairness
has left me reeling with anger
and i am told i should just forgive and forget
but this anger…
i can’t explain this anger
