Well Meant But Meaningless Advice

do not let them get you down…
so they say,
this is just meaningless advice
that comes your way
when others do not know how to help
that is what they say,
do not let them get you down…
they say it up till the final encore
when crowds begin to sway
who do you trust in this world?
where everything is in a rush
do not let them get you down…
so they say,
but what can you do
and what else can you say
arms and hugs are for close friends
and sad rainy days
let me tell you, let me take you
and let us go far far away
i do not care for the meaningless advice
when there is nothing else to say
