Wind of Change
They had better call our bluff—
that is all they can do.
The world is so corrupt;
hypocrisy must be on the wind.
We need the wind of change.
It’s anarchy again.
Things cannot go on like this;
things cannot stay the same.
Power has gone to their head.
I think that pretty soon—
life as we know it
may well be dead.
Well, that’s what he said.
Can it be true?
Just look around you,
and I think you’ll agree:
what you see is not worth seeing.
It sure isn’t worth believing.
Am I the only one
trying to run up
the 89‑degree slope—
of destruction?
The only disease in the world
that has no medical name:
greed eats into your soul,
then it will start on your brain.
Just watching the events unfold—
the monarchy play at the palace,
court jesters without the bells,
fools without the frills.
With society’s ills,
let them live like us,
then ask them how it feels.
Will life still seem such a must?
At least they will have
real reasons to fuss.
