Claim to Care
they say something
then they deny saying it
they say,
it was someone else
they say,
they are not to blame
they look lost eyed
rabbit scared
and almost tied
a bundle of innocence
neatly wrapped up
how could it ever be so
surely it would be too much
their semi radical views
that would make a ghost –
turn pale
the front page feeder –
for the daily mail
they say,
it was not me
and that it was him
and they say,
i never said it and i swear
but you can still hold a knife
and claim to care
