The 1920’s Woman – Written Sunday 21st August 2005 (Aged 30)

The 1920’s Woman

a 1920’s woman stared out at me
it was in a dream,
dead but somehow alive
her essence a feeling deep inside
her hand stretched forth
and i realised that time had no flow
it existed all at once
there is no flow,
it does not make a difference
her eyes appeared to be lost
as the lines of time –
flowed beneath her wings
and, then in my dreams
i saw her many many strange things
of course i wanted to help
but somehow she was already dead
and she looked at me
with those 1920’s eyes
but there in my dream she was so alive
