A Crying Shame
you made a choice
and that choice still remains
come on,
you know how i feel
i know that there is beauty in your name
but it seems,
i can never be
the person that you need me to be
for whatever reason –
we cannot carry on as, ‘we’
the closeness,
it seems that it went too far
but i was honest,
perhaps to a fault
love now looks like a vault
but perhaps one one with no escape
and if i did have the code
then i would let you crack my safe
you made a choice
and that choice still remains
friendship it seems is not an option
and that is a crying shame
