Where Are You?

where are you?
how are you?
who are you?
how did it turn out
when he walked away
what is your nature
children, husband?
something different
searching for those –
you never –
had the chance to know
particularly when –
you never ever –
the choice
what is it all about
the sound of your voice
what are we
and what we could have been
is probably a bridge too far
but i can dream
so i will search –
and try to find you
fill a hole,
amend some hurt
so where are you now?
make it work somehow
