A Wry Smile (Criticism) – Written Monday 13th February 2006 (Aged 30)

A Wry Smile (Criticism)

a wry smile creeps across my face
people who criticise others
but then,
cannot not accept criticism themselves
suddenly,
they are forced to look inside
and they want to be somebody else
of course,
they do not see their criticism as just that
they take the moral high ground
and see it as a fact
there any offence caused can be negated –
by virtue of them being right
a wry smile creeps across my face
because to me this is nonsense
it is as arrogance int the extreme
as delusional as a fantasists wildest dreams
these people would do well to imagine how it feels
next time they open their mouths
and the words like venom begins to spill
